Blood Pressure monitor FOR KIDS Sanity® AP 1720 is a medical device for measuring arterial blood pressure in children. It is an automatic blood pressure monitor designed for children, because the applied method of measurement takes into account the specificity of blood pressure in children.
Blood Pressure monitor FOR KIDS It is equipped with suitably small cuffs, the sizes of which are adapted to the hand circumference of the youngest patients: 15-18 cm and 18-22 cm. The device uses the innovative Duo Control Cuff Technology (DCC) system. Each cuff consists of 2 parts: the upper (larger) and lower (smaller) air chambers, inflated separately with separate air tubing. The upper cuff acts as standard to compress the arm, while the lower chamber serves as a stethoscope to detect pulse waves. Pressure is measured between heartbeats using multiple sensors inside the cuff. Designed for children aged 3-12.
This method gives very accurate readings and is extremely gentle, which is especially important for children. The blood pressure monitor has a friendly animal shape, which makes it more attractive and facilitates a calm measurement.
Blood Pressure monitor FOR KIDS Sanity® uses an innovative method of measuring blood pressure. The cuff of the device has 2 air chambers and 2 separate tubing. The upper cuff works as standard, while the lower cuff serves as a stethoscope to detect pulse waves. The pressure is measured by the pulsed method.
This method gives very accurate readings and is extremely gentle, which is especially important for children.

How to measure
- In order to obtain the correct results, it is necessary to take care of the correct posture of the child’s body. It is best for the child to sit steadily, for example on a chair, with feet flat on the floor and arm on the table. It is important that the child is calm during the measurement, without moving or speaking.
- Place the cuff as shown above on the child’s left or right arm, depending on the doctor’s instructions. The bottom of the cuff should be approximately 1 cm above the elbow, and the cuff and heart should be at the same level.
- After pressing the “START / STOP” button, the cuff will begin inflating with air. After the measurement is complete, the cuff will deflate rapidly. The blood pressure and heart rate are displayed and the device saves the result automatically.
